Scottish Mahogany Drumhead Longcase Clock

An original Mahogany longcase clock made in the first half of the 19th Century . It has a typical Edinburgh drumhead case, with a nicely figured door base and intermediate sections. The lift up circular door has a gilt sight ring. The white enamel dial is signed by the makers,G. McAlpine , Edinburgh. It has an 8 day movement that sounds the hours on a bell. George Mc Alpine is listed as working in Edinburgh 1836-46.
