Large French Striking Carriage clock by Henri Jacot

A large Striking French carriage clock, having a gilt corniche case, bevel edge glass with an oval top window, and a clear enamel dial. The 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a gong, it has its original lever platform escapement. Made by the eminent maker Henri Jacot of Paris, this clock is numbered 13853 and comes complete with its original numbered key.
