A small rosewood mantel clock of simple form, made for Charles Frodsham Clockmaker to Queen Victoria. The rectangular case has a simple convex molded base and is veneered in choice rosewood. The brass bezel has a thick bevel edge glass, and an enamel dial, signed by the clockmaker and retailer Charles Frodsham, maker to The Queen. The 8 day bell striking movement strikes the hours and halves on a bell and is stamped on the backplate Charles Frodsham, Clockmaker to The Queen Paris.
