Solid Oak Stick Barometer (England, c. 1860)


Description
A solid oak stick barometer dating from the mid 19th Century. It has an arch top, two turned oak scale indicator knobs and a central thermometer. The top ivory scale indicates the pressure in inches of mercury at 10 am yesterday and 10 am today. It is signed at the top by the well renowned makers Negretti and Zambra of London. The centre section has a temperature scale in Fahrenheit and centigrade with a mercury thermometer.

Current Condition
In excellent original condition and working order.
