Small Oak Longcase Clock (England, c. 1770)

A lovely, very original country solid oak longcase clock of excellent small proportions. The well figured case has an arch top hood, with reeded canted corners an arched door and a wavy plinth base. The engraved brass silvered dial is signed by the maker, Baker of Malling and has subsidiary date and seconds dials. It has an 8 day movement, with lead weights and sounds the hours and halves on the hours. Henry Baker is listed as working in Malling Town 1768-1784.

Current Condition
The case has been cleaned, oiled and waxed, the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking and working please email us.
