Siena Marble Clock Garniture (France, c. 1900)
Description
A well coloured Siena marble portico clock set comprising of a central clock and two matching urns. The Clock has twin columns, supporting a drum movemnet with gilt ormolu decoration the pendulum is a basket of flowers that swings between the columns. It has a convex enamel dial with hand painted floral decoration and ornate pierced and embossed hands. It has an 8 day Bell striking movement made by Bonnett & Pottier of Paris. Complete with matching side pieces. Current Condition The marble is in good overal condition with no chips, there are two hairline marks in one column. The movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
