Regency Chamfer Top Bracket Clock (England, 1820)


A mahogany bracket clock, dating to the early 19th Century.The case has a chamfer top surmounted by a brass pineapple, brass mounted canted corners and inset brass edged quadrants and brass ball feet. The sides have red lined brass Gothic frets It has an 8" convex dial and glass. it has an 8 day pendulum timepiece (does not strike) fusee movement with a holdfast to secure the pendulum during transportation. It is signed by the maker Whelan of London

Current Condition
The case has been revived, the dial restored and the movement fully serviced in our own workshops.
