Mahogany Fusee Dial Clock (England, c. 1870)

A mahogany dial clock made in the 2nd half of the 19th Century. It has a turned outer rim, with a traditional pegged case. The 12 inch dial has a cast brass bezel. It has an 8 day fusee movement with stopwork to prevent overwinding. The dial is signed by the original makers, Glanville of Abingdon. William Glanville worked 1864-1877. Records show his premises were at Market Place.

Current Condition
The case is in good original condition, with a replacement bottom door lock. The dial has been restored and the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
