Mahogany 10" Dial Wall Clock With Windmill Automaton (England, c. 1870)

An unusual and enchanting wall clock dating to the mid 19th century. It has a turned mahogany outer rim and a traditional pegged case with bottom and side doors. The 10 inch diameter dial incorporates an inset windmill that rotates in time with the pendulum. It has an 8 day fusee movement with stopwork to prevent overwindng. The dial is signed H A King, Loddon. The windmill depicts Loddon Pyes Post Mill.

Current Condition
The case is in excellent original condition, the movement is fully serviced and guaranteed for 12 months. The windmill automaton appears to be a later addition, although not recent. If you would like a video clip of this clock working and the windmill turning please email us.
