French Tortoiseshell and Brass Inlay Boulle Mantel Clock (France, 1870)
Description
A good sized French bell striking mantel clock, that was originally made for the British market in the late 19th Century . The waisted shape case has tortoiseshell inlaid with brass and a glass visible sunburst pendulum. It has a a traditional French blue numeral enamel dial with fancy brass hands and is signed Le Roy a Paris. the 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Current Condition In excellent original condition throughout, the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
