Edwardian Mahogany and Inlay Striking Mantel Clock (England and France, c. 1900)


A solid mahogany Sheraton revival mantel clock dating to the late 19th/early 20th Century. It has a break arch shape case, with an inlaid satinwood shell and boxwood stringing, brass lion mask handles and brass bun feet. The clock has a bevel edge convex glass, with a finely embossed bezel, an enamel dial and fancy brass hands. The dial is signed by the original retailers Milfords & Sons, St Martins Lane, London. It has a French 8 day gong striking movement made by Marti.

Current Condition
